Guy Fawkes, (1570—1606, London ), wanted to kill King James I and his chief ministers for increasing oppression of Roman Catholics in England. Religion at its best, I'd say. This is how the world has been working since the first religion. Oppression of others has been a part of society since its roots. But religion took this to another level. Philanthropy is not rooted in religion. Religion is a different set of rules, that sometimes curb really bad things of an individual. But if the individual in question is a ruler, no rules are bounding him (and it's usually a he ) to display his personal hatred and sadism. Religion gave rights and still gives, to the rulers. It gives walls to individuals, commons, it creates boundaries among individuals, and among common people, groups administered by rulers.
The Muslims have never been deeper in the darkness of dogma. The interpretation of Islam has never been more unreasonable. Time and knowledge go forward, Muslims' minds don't. Let's change that. I believe that the Muslims should open their eyes, and as much as possible, free themselves from the grasps of 7th century men controlled Arab society's rules. The Qur’an says so. The prophet too.
