Racist virus that attacks only Chinese, or silly belief in a divine punishment on Earth

The outbreak of a life-threatening virus Corona in China is a terrible occurrence.
Putting aside the real issues with the virus, we'll focus on our usual topics, this time in relation to this occurrence. That is Islam and reforming the thinking of the Muslims who might be reading this. Also, we want to offer another perspective to non-Muslims who are reading this, a new perspective about Muslims and why and how they develop a lot of wrong ideas.

Stories about how China's government oppressed Muslims of Uygur origin in their region, and how this virus is one of God's punishments.
Many Muslims miss to notice that there are also Hui Muslims in China, who are not oppressed by the government, and who are not taken to camps for cultural re-education.
Does God really punish people like it has been described in holy books?
It is least likely to be the case, as God is a just being. With collective "punishment", nothing is achieved in "moral" sense, and that is obvious: no particular group social group changes after some of their members die or suffer from a natural disaster.
This virus that is also killing people isn't limited to attack only the evil Chinese people or even any Chinese souls.
Racism is a civilizational phenomenon and not a natural one, so viruses don't happen to "know" if somebody is an Asian or a European. Furthermore, a virus doesn't know if somebody supports certain government, or believes something.
This same virus can easily kill a Muslim person in China.
Now, regardless of the fact that this "tutorial" wasn't necessary to a sane person, be that person a Muslim or not, but one would think that the Muslims really do need to reconsider their thinking. Ideas that this might be God's punishment really opens up a question like the one we answered, can a virus recognize a host's nationality, belief, or political side and opinion about Muslims? Of course not, so what was the drive behind bearing this kind of story? And I have personally seen educated people opting for a possibility that it is God's punishment.
Muslims, just like other religious people, are driven by dogma and a belief in spirits. Major occurrences in the world need to be explained to them, they need to understand it themselves. That need, for every natural event to need a reason to occur, is also a part of having religion in the first place.
Religious people are trying to answer a question they made up "why are we here?" They can't imagine a world without a reason. As homo-sapiens, we see patterns in everything, and we also see a cause-result effect. Being built that way, humans search for intelligence in everything, and so they do for the reason for life. Religious people claim that religion answers the question "why are we here" or "why do we exist", while science answers the question "how the universe works."
Religious people have the need to embed a spirit in everything alive, except a bacterium, fungi, and a plant cell.
Blind faith in a supreme being drives people to believe the occult and non-existent. It inspires people to look for a purpose to their own lives, to compare their success against the model of morality, for which they lone believe is authentic and sincere.
This self-imposed motivation of people, in turn, leads to yielding excessive explanations for phenomena that don't need a moral side.
Biology does not require a moral side, civilization does. But, civilization has grown since it had started, and it can't be tied to a social group's ideology. Civilization is evolving according to the necessities of the driving side of humanity. The progressive wing is carrying ahead, and it is that wing that creates space for civilization to shape upon it.

It is never OK to beat the wife, regardless of what hadiths say

It is never OK to beat the wife. The meaning of verse 34 chapter 3 multiple ideas that are wrong. First, let's see the quote of the translation which is mostly accepted, and the link provided has multiple translations into all the languages once can imagine.  "Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they/men spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them, guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand." God describes the righteous woman as devoutly obedient to her husband, while a husband doesn't require such obedience to be righteous. Here, a man is righteous by default, doesn't need the special war...

Walking outside of religion

Getting more information about the religious rules will make you somebody who will conduct according to those rules. Unfortunately, this isn't the case when one learns about some other rules that aren't popular enough to be thought to children. Only as adults do we encounter some religious rules, that really don't have any purpose or use today, so no wonder how we can live without it. But it leaves out the whole picture.
